Lepidoptera Landscape Design is a residential landscape design firm
that is guided by knowledge and respect for the natural environment,
supporting responsible landscape design and horticultural practices. We
pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards in customer service
and design services. We build long-term relationships with our clients by
designing distinctive landscapes and unique gardens that they love.
At Lepidoptera Landscape Design we approach each design project based
on your specific needs, and identify design solutions that work best to
meet them.
We ensure that high quality standards are met from the beginning of a
project to its conclusion by having developed a network of contractors
and other resources for our clients.

Ms. McManus offers an array of special talents that aid in producing
unique design solutions. She is highly skilled in illustration and design
techniques and has a thorough and has a thorough knowledge of plant
materials and installation with more than 20 years of design experience
and hands-on horticultural knowledge. She has designed, planted, and
maintained her own lovely display garden at her home in Framingham,
Massachusetts.
Prior to forming Lepidoptera Landscape Design, Ms. McManus worked for
more than a decade in the graphic design industry. She previously formed
her own graphic design company,
Lepidoptera Graphics, which provides
strategic visual communications for leading-edge companies.
Ms. McManus is simultaneously enrolled in two landscape design
certificate programs (Clark University at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden
and New England Wild Flower Society) with completion for both expected
next year. Her ongoing study in horticulture ensures that the very latest
information and techniques will be applied to your project. Previously,
Ms. McManus graduated with honors with a BFA in Graphic Illustration from
the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Other institutions
of study include the Art Institute School of Art and Design and the
American Academy of Art, both in Chicago, Illinois.
Ms. McManus is a member of the Ecological Landscaping Association (ELA),
The New England Wild Flower Society, Tower Hill Botanic Garden, The
Trustees of Reservations, The Sudbury Valley Trustees, The American Rock
Garden Society, The Conifer Society and The American Chestnut Society.
